We spend four nights at White's. The service and views were wonderful. I really just wanted to write a note about one of the junior suites we stayed in for 2 nights and the hotel Avoid J1 if you can - it is very small - booked by our travel company so they did not know - the hotel graciously upgraded us to a large unit which was dry and fantastic - np photos of it online. The room being tiny was not my main complaint - the AC was not working so it very humid and everything including the sheets were damp. J1 had a great view out the window and it accessed the waterfront easily. Just very tight and damp. Even the wall stucco was seeping. So I think they need to replace the unit. We moved to O1 and it was amazing. Photos of that unit. Plus the property is adults only so it was nice and quiet. We ate once in the restaurant and the food was probably the best we had on our trip. The staff, such as Joao, Anna, and Sara were so accommodating and helpful, it really made our visit better. They also give you a cell phone to use on the island for directions and access to them. J1 tinha uma bela vista pela janela e acessava facilmente a orla. Apenas muito apertado e úmido. Até o estuque da parede estava vazando. Então eu acho que eles precisam substituir a unidade. Mudamos para O1 e foi incrível. Fotos dessa unidade. Além disso, a propriedade é apenas para adultos, por isso foi agradável e tranquila. Comemos uma vez no restaurante e a comida foi provavelmente a melhor que tivemos na nossa viagem. Os funcionários, como João, Anna e Sara, foram tão atenciosos e prestativos que realmente tornaram a nossa visita melhor. We found ourselves in a bind as we were booked at an Airbnb that was not as represented. We luckily found the white hotel and could not have been more pleased. Joao was amazing in helping us with getting a room, as we did not have prior reservations. He was very helpful in so many ways, giving us tips on places to see, my husband's food allergy, etc. The entire staff were absolutely great. We will definitely go back. The main draw of this hotel is its stunning location, and the service and rooms are also so great. The front desk was always so helpful and had great recommendations for food and hikes. I could have stood on our balcony, or on the hotel deck, or in the heated infinity pool all day and watched the waves break below. We stayed at the Villa and had a terrific experience. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable and tried to accommodate and help in any way they could. I think it was definitely my best vacation ever! White is the best place to take a break from the world. The suit is amazing. Breakfast and dinner is great! I loved the location! The team at White made us feel instantly at home, we were welcomed and well taken care of for the entirety of our stay. We've fallen in love with Sao Miguel and it's all thanks to each person at White. Every day we'd get personalised recommendations on where to go, what to see and what to avoid to make the most of our time on the island. Communication was effortless as the team gave us a phone to talk to them with - very responsive and helpful every time we spoke. The suite was beautiful and uncluttered with rich details and textures - a real calm retreat after a day filled with lots of sites and scenery. Every person that works at White are friendly, helpful and accommodating even our airport pickup created such a wonderful impression. This was by far our most favourite part of our holiday. Thank you to Sandra (for helping us arrange a rental car and welcoming us to white), João (for personalised tips on where to go on the island), Rodrigo (for making a proper martini and chatting to my husband for hours while I was resting and recovering from a flu) and each and everyone of you for treating us so special during our stay. We absolutely cannot recommend White enough. The hotel feels secluded and private while still being close enough to great restaurants for dinner in the evenings. The heated pool was such a treat after a day of exploring. We adored all the staff - seriously the best customer service we have ever experienced. The team stayed late to welcome us when our flight was delayed, our breakfast hosts remembered our preferences, and Joao went above and beyond to help us make sure our daily itinerary was sound. He spent time with us each morning reviewing the details of the weather and local cameras at the main tourist attractions to help shape our itinerary for the day. This is an incredible place. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and everything was an absolute dream, especially the service and the breathtaking location and beauty of the hotel itself. The entire time we felt like we were completely secluded in a gorgeous way, and totally pampered. Can’t say enough about the service - Sara, Sandra, Joao and the whole team always went above and beyond for us on everything we asked about.
