I was ill in Portimao the day my partner and I were supposed to travel. We sat at the hotel cafe and immediately the staff started to make us confortable and care for me. We ended up staying the night and they even upgrated our room to cheer me up. The room and amenities were luxurious and the ocean view was fantastic. By the next morning, I was feeling better ! Thank you to Hotel da Rocha for turning an unfortunate situation into a lovely memory. Special thanks to Palmira for all the kind gestures. She really embodies the values of hospitality. Great place to stay as room is spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good buffet breakfast and close to shops, restaurant and across the road to beach. Location is great, next to the beach, great view and the building itself looks alright. The reception was great, friendly and helpful. We were offered an upgrade from Prestige Suite to Family Prestige Suite. The view is amazing, I think better than front sea view - room is 709. The suite is big, impressive, nice balcony with table and four chairs - found the table and the chairs inside so we moved them ourselves. The bathroom is large, nice but the mould on the ceiling and the green mould from the toilet flush should not be part of the offer. The room was clean, the service was good. The restaurant is impressive too, nicely organised. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They could do with someone with experience at the bar. The food, breakfast and dinner was good, tasty, a lot of options and I do appreciate the effort to arrange everything nicely and appealing. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around, a bus stop right in front and taxis too. An Uber drive to the town is about 4 or 5 euros. You can also walk to the Marina and the beautiful NH Marina Resort, very quickly you can get to the Ribeirinha area or to the Portimao Market. The staff deserves definitely 6 stars. I can't understand why there are no USB sockets - it is a bit weird for a modern hotel. Não consigo entender por que não há tomadas USB - é um pouco estranho para um hotel moderno.

Really nice modern high end 4 star hotel with restaurant overlooking the beach in Portimao. I stayed in a suite and wow what a beautiful room and for an unbelievable price, it was out of season but also a school holiday so was still fairly busy. Convenient hotel for the Portimao Algarve Circuit. Not only is it a few metres from the beach but also many restaurants and bars along the main street. Breakfast was excellent, as good as it gets to be honest. Plus we had an early flight so they allowed us to have breakfast early. The staff were very nice and helpful. We went for the marvelous supper buffet. Great selection including some vegetarian options. €25 plus drinks. Very good value considering the quality. Looking forward to spending Christmas here. Room is brilliant. Christmas buffet was only ok. Breakfast buffet was underwhelming. Probably head to Irish Rover tomorrow for breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights, and it was amazing value for money. Great location on the beach, secure parking for a small additional fee per night. Breakfast is good, lots of choice, need to spend a bit of time finding the fresh stuff, but you will be rewarded!! Rooms are good size, very clean and well maintained. An excellent hotel! The room was just as described -deluxe suite with side sea view except the side sea view was far better than expected. The room was throughly cleaned. Not a dust particle in sight. Honestly it was perfect as I thrive for cleanliness. Location was perfect opposite the beach and right next to amenities. Shops, restaurants and plenty of ice cream places. Definitely recommend this hotel. Staff are lovely. Inna in particular was welcoming and warm. Thank you for a lovely stay. Tip - round the corner from the hotel so first right there's a little supermarket which sells fresh bakery items daily. The Pastal de Nata are amazing amongst the croissants too.
