Tanja greeted us in an inviting, beautifully decorated dining room. She welcomed us in perfect English. A big thank you to Tanja for the good energy, the excellent service and her friendly manner. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was my favorite authentic meal across 10 days in Portugal — warm, inviting, friendly, fun staff. Beautiful, hearty dishes. Very wallet-friendly pricing. It’s on a beautiful historic street. You might just miss it if you’re not walking slowly enough. We had a tremendous carrot soup available for lunch when we went. Pork and chestnut dish was top shelf. And the white sangria stood out among many sangrias we tried in Lisbon and Porto. Don’t be thrown off by “buffet” (if you’re American)! This place would have been 4 stars or a little more but there were a few issues 1) Restaurant opened 30min later than listed 2) Only one waiter so he was busy. But he was very friendly and served us free ginjinha to try 3) The food was fine. Decent salad bar and hot items were decent but no dessert included. 4) The price is good for the buffet. What made this LOW is that my husband went to the restroom before dinner and found an undead cockroach in the sink. This completly turned him off the meal and he reluctantly only ate the hot food. Isso o desligou completamente da refeição e ele relutantemente só comeu a comida quente.

We have just had a lovely meal at this fabulous restaurant. The hosts were very welcoming and it's a great place for conversation as you can hear clearly without music.
