We came here to eat fish as we were told this is one of the best. But unfortunately we were not have with number of things: we order salmon and we had a long hair and when we told the waiter about he said ok and he was sort of surprised and not happy that we told him. We also were over sold lots of items that we didn't order, they keep bringing you food. All the food that they brought was added to the bill. Actually reading the order reviews they all say the same thing! We sure DON'T recommend this establishment as there are much better places to eat good fish in Madeira. Nice and cozy restaurant with good service. We had black pasta with grilled squids. It was tasty, and the squids were really good made. We were surprised that this pasta comes with a salad 😁 There was a small mistake with our drinks, but the waiter noticed it and fixed it very quick. This restaurant really surprised me. Friendly and smiling staff (real joy in the face and eyes, not a learned smile), express fast, and the food was fabulous! Reasonably processed, perfectly seasoned. Even the house wine (which was the only one by glass) was excellent. The only inconvenience is the noise of the busy street. Der Kabeljau Lagareiro war eine sehr große Portion mit vortrefflichem Geschmack. Ebenso lassen die Nachspeisen und der Hauswein nicht zu wünschen übrig. Wäre der teilweise laute Verkehr nicht auf der Straße, gäbe es auch perfektes Ambiente.
