When traveling solo in Portugal it’s not always easy to find a place to dine as most restaurants have very limited seating. I try to plan ahead but you cannot make a reservation for one! Fell into Hororato. I don’t even eat hamburgers at home! So pleased to see you can order many of their burger “mini” which was perfect for me. The burgers come with salad or fries. I ordered the Hot Mex! burger with the salad and expected maybe three leaves of iceberg. Holy Cow! It was a full up salad with tomatoes, romaine, arugula, onions, corn. It was awesome!!! The Hot Mex! burger was delicious. And service? Attentive, on the spot, perfect! O mexicano quente! hambúrguer estava delicioso. E serviço? Atencioso, pontual, perfeito! Agora estou procurando mais locais para o resto da nossa viagem…

The burgers and onion rings were amazing. Right across the street from the Jerónimos monastery. Service was great and it was crowded. We ducked into this spot to escape a rain downpour and so glad we did! Very friendly English speaking staff made us feel welcome. Excellent menu choices for a variety of burgers but we just needed a snack and drinks. Onion rings and fried chicken fit the bill. Tried to get food there today, we saw empty table and asked the waiter if we can seat down, he rudely said wait and when we moved a little he almost pushed us and shouted to wait!
