I just wanted a coffee, nothing more. Then I entered... The “collective of young professionals” working there made me feel immediately welcome. They presented me with a simple yet elaborate menu, with so many enticing options! I opted for a glass of wine (can't really say the name and I felt too fancy to ask again), a selection of sourdough bread (freaking delish!), and seasoned hummus. It was simple yet incredibly rich! The wine was unique; the waiter asked if I wanted to “go funky” and I’m glad I did. Peeps, Early has been in Cedofeita for a while, probably, and I’m happy I discovered it early enough. Optei por uma taça de vinho (não consigo dizer o nome e me senti muito chique para perguntar de novo), uma seleção de pão de massa fermentada (uma delícia!) E hummus temperado. Era simples, mas incrivelmente rico! O vinho era único; o garçom perguntou se eu queria “ficar descolado” e estou feliz por ter feito isso. Peeps, Early já está em Cedofeita há algum tempo, provavelmente, e estou feliz por ter descoberto cedo.

Arrived late afternoon from the airport and found Early near my rental apartment. I had the vegan burger which was delicious with lovely ginger beer. The guy serving me was very helpful - spoke good English (although I attempted Portuguese!) The best breakfast I had in Porto. More elevated than some of the more popular options. We ordered the chemex coffee, the shakshuka, and an order of eggs. The bread was so fresh, the dishes so herby. I've been here once - on my quest to break away from my usual cafes in Porto I drifted in on Sunday morning. Early has incredibly good coffee - big thumbs up! I ordered a chia cup, and got a bathtub of chia with really sweet Madeira bananas - that is to say, a bit exaggerated in size, but very good in execution.
