This deserves a solid 5 stars. I came here because some of my friends recommended this. From the outside it does not show at all what you are about to step into. You can't even look through the window. But once you rang the bell and step inside, you step back in time. Classic and perfect. The waiter helped me perfectly. Not all waiters were able to speak English, but all were super friendly regardless. The only downside for me, the tables are quite low. Though I have to mention I am a stupendously tall Dutch guy. Then the food. The filet mignon, I ordered it as they recommended. It's been a long time since I had meat this good. Highly recommended! Little high on the price, yes, if you just look at the price and compare to other restaurants in Lisbon. If you look at the experience and the quality of food you get, it's a bargain. The atmosphere and design is so beautiful, I felt like I was in a different world and time. We loved the food and the experience. We had two orders of the Portuguese steak which comes with fries and added a side salad. Visited their location at Time Out Market and enjoyed sitting on the back part of the market where is less crowded. The service and meal was tasty. The Red tejo wine was wonderful. I noticed that everyone in the kitchen really got along and where collaborating and cordial to each other.
