Athena restaurante food was amazing. Best we had the entire time we were in Portugal. They also serve American style coffee. They had several flavors, but we really liked the Guatemalan. The service was great, very friendly, including the door greeter puppy. I highly recommend this restaurante. I will certainly return next time I visit Portugal. What a lovely place! It's both a café and local store in one place, with lots of space and sunlight and friendly people (and Dua, a friendly, calm French bulldog). Athena offers delicious pourover coffee and a random selection of pastries and self- made cakes. Yum! Look around, and you'll find local premium wines (traditional and natural), kombucha, notebooks, earrings, candles, and lots of other items made by local artists. It's a great neighborhood place to sit and sip coffee while watching the busy street life. (But check the opening hours; they're a bit unconventional.) You can also bring a laptop and get some work done while munching a croissant. And as Athena is still a new place, you'll see it evolve along the way. :) Will be back!
