Excellent vibe here. It kind of feels like you are sitting in your grandmothers house in a good way. Food was excellent and the waitstaff was super hospitable. A little off the beaten path but this was a much better experience than Aperitivo. Great little place with some unusual traditional dishes. Good simple food, reasonably priced, not what you would find on standard tourist menus. We had black eye bean migas, saltfish acorda and pataniscas made from grass peas. There are plenty of meat & fish options available but I think the food would suit you best if you enjoy eating vegetables and wholefoods - in fact you could have a good feed here if you were veggie/vegan. There was a nice atmosphere, it was pretty busy for the season & the service was friendly and attentive. We had 3 tapas between two people which was a decent meal on its own, but allowed room for an unwise but delicious pudding each before we waddled back to our hotel. Little gem in Faro!! My husband and I went to this restaurant around 2 pm so it wasn’t busy at all. We had the Pescado curado en salsa de mayonesa con limon, la charcutería y el fricasé de conejo!!!! For desert we had el Rollo de algarrobo y almendras con crema de limón!!! Una cerveza y un té frío. The portions are slightly bigger than a Spanish tapa, perfect for sharing!!!! We didn’t leave hungry! I have to say the flavours were so tasteful with known elements that made our taste buds recognize a few ingredients. I will strongly recommend this place if you want to have this nice culinary experience!! The service was amazing as well, the resourceful chef/cook and the beautiful waiter were nice and helpful with recommendations ! We hope you can have the same great experience we had!!!! Well done!!!
